The Illuminate Hope Gala is a pivotal moment for the Joy Smith foundation, marking a time of both immediate action and bringing a vision to life. The funds raised will establish the key resources and infrastructure necessary to expand the Foundation’s vital work in human trafficking prevention, education, and survivor support.

Your support will drive the development and opening of the Teaching Campus, a transformative initiative set to open in 2027, with a dual purpose: to end human trafficking in Canada and help survivors on their path to healing.

The Teaching Campus will redefine how we prevent human trafficking, equipping communities with the tools and knowledge to protect vulnerable individuals. It will also be a crucial resource for survivors, providing the
support they need to heal and rebuild their lives. Together, we are creating a future where every Canadian is educated, empowered, and safe from the modern-day slave trade known as human trafficking.
