Ways To give

Your investment in our work will help us prevent and end human trafficking. All donations are welcome and those over $20 will receive a tax receipt. Our fundraising events and giving opportunities help us support survivors from the point of rescue through the process of finding justice and beyond.

The Joy Smith Foundation is a careful steward of your investment and money is directed to provide education, Intervention and Prevention programs to protect Canadians from human trafficking.

Thank you to all our 2021 participants. With your help, we
exceeded our fundraising goal of $60,000! Small steps really
do make a big difference.

It all starts by uniting as a community dedicated to taking the small steps that will lead to big results. Working together, we can shine the spotlight on the role all Canadians play in being a part of the solution to prevent trafficking.

So, let’s get started! Join the Joy Smith Foundation for our annual Joy in Action virtual fundraiser. It’s easy to get involved. Whether you like to run, walk or ride, your activity will make a difference.

Invite your friends and family to participate with you in support of Joy in Action anytime between August 14 and August 22. There are no registration fees and all money will go directly to supporting the Foundation’s education, intervention and prevention programs. It’s that simple!

Your support will offer hope and healing to survivors and their families.

Registration is now closed.

Watch for our 2022 registration announcement in the Spring!

I've been asked to share my thoughts on why we have chosen to become regular contributors to the Joy Smith Foundation. It is simply because they work tirelessly for the cause of rescuing and protecting every man, woman and child from human trafficking. The 2021 Best Countries Report has recently named Canada as the most livable country in the world. I know that the blessing of safety, peace and joy that I have had in living in this amazing country has not been the experience of so many who have been enslaved by the atrocity of human trafficking. The work the Foundation is doing, especially in the area of education, is reason enough to lend support to the cause and help to open all our eyes to the truth, to protect potential and existing victims, and to help inspire and mobilize citizens to help in any way we can.
