Purpose Moves Us. Take Action with Joy In Action

Walk, run, or cycle to raise awareness and support our work to end human trafficking through The Joy Smith Foundation’s Joy In Action campaign.

You can join a Foundation official event or start your own walk, run, or cycle challenge in your community. Every step raises awareness and vital funds for prevention education and survivor support.

Organize an Event in Your Community

Host your own event and become a local leader in the fight against human trafficking. Here are a few ways others have brought event ideas to life:
• Bake sale or cooking class
• Yard sale
• Charity sports tournament
• Christmas gift wrapping station
• Community car wash

We are here to support you. We can provide the tools for your event’s registration, assist with the collection of donations to providing donors with tax receipts - we are here to help you with all the details to ensure a smooth event.

“My journey with the Joy Smith Foundation began when a friend handed me the book, ‘The True Story of Canadian Human Trafficking’ by Paul H. Boge. What I discovered in those pages shook me to my core — human trafficking was happening right here in Canada. The knowledge I gained from the book stirred something within me, and I signed up for the Foundation’s newsletters, eager to learn more about their work. It was through this connection that I stumbled upon the annual fundraiser, ‘Joy in Action.’ I chose to volunteer because I wanted to be part of a cause that truly resonated with me.
