National Human Trafficking Education Centre

On October 28th, 2021, the Joy Smith Foundation will proudly open Canada’s first and only National Human Trafficking Education Centre to comprehensively address the issue of human trafficking on a national scale.

The Centre will offer both free and fee-based courses to parents, teachers, front-line responders and all Canadians ready to play a vital role in the prevention and intervention of human trafficking. Courses range in length and will be easily accessible online through the Centre’s portal.

In addition to a wide range of courses, the Centre encourages inter-agency collaboration across Canada and North America to increase the sharing of resources and information. Working together, we can magnify our collective efforts to influence change and coordinate support on a national scale.

I am so grateful the Joy Smith Foundation helped me to get back to my family and make my life better. I got some education and now I’m helping other girls who went through the same experience that I did. I love the education program and I use it all the time to prevent other girls from getting in the same situation I was.
